DTU Disc Golf Bag Tags
At DTU Disc Golf, bag tags are a fun and friendly way to create a bit of extra competition and community spirit throughout the season.
What is a bag tag?
A bag tag is a numbered tag that you attach to your disc golf bag. Everyone who signs up gets a tag with a unique number. The goal? To end the season with the lowest-numbered tag possible — and have fun trying to get there!

How does it work?
Tags are exchanged based on performance in rounds played against other tag holders.
If you play a casual round or participate in a club event with others who have tags, the player with the best score takes the lowest tag number among the group, the next best takes the next lowest, and so on.
You must have your tag visible during rounds and bring it to club events.
Challenges are welcome — but friendly! You can challenge anyone with a lower tag to a round.
Example: How tag swapping works
Let’s say Emma and Tobias play a round against Jakob and Freja.
Emma and Tobias win the round.
Before the round, the players had the following tags:
Emma: #5
Tobias: #9
Jakob: #3
Freja: #11
After the round, the tags are re-ordered based on the players’ scores in that round:
So even though you start the day with a higher number, a good round can move you up the ladder!
Club events
We host regular bag tag events throughout the season — a great opportunity to climb the rankings or defend your number! These events are casual, fun, and open to all levels.

How to join
All DTU Disc Golf members automatically receive a bag tag — it’s included in your membership at no extra cost.
You can pick it up at any club event, or when our club room next to the course is open. Just drop by and ask!
End-of-season fun
We wrap up the season with a final bag tag event and celebrate the player who held tag #1 at the end — and maybe the one who had the most fun getting there!
